Experience:
As Managing Director I am responsible for the overall management of the Practice including marketing, programming, resourcing and financial control.
Using my extensive knowledge of the landscape industry I retain a close involvement in the early stage establishment of project procedures, concept design and costing to provide as smooth a passage through the projects as possible. I carry out a regular monitoring role through all projects.

Involved in submission of a bid for Tameside BSF with Norwest Holst;
Worked on a PFI bid with Kajima for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority for 10 new community fire stations;
Involved in preparation of designs for new police headquarters and custody centres as part of competitive PFI bid for Gloucestershire Police Authority;
As the IT Manager I take responsibility for overseeing the computer hardware and software systems that are essential to the running of the office.

Experience:
Mark is an accomplished Associate of Barry Chinn Associates, a Charted Landscape Architect who is experienced in both the design and contract management aspects of the profession. He has been involved with various external works projects including public realm (Dickens Heath Village – Solihull), PFI health care (Tess Valley and South Durham Lift), housing and commercial/retail.

In previous roles Mark has gained valuable experience across a wide range of projects including visual impact assessment for both large retail developments and individual residential properties, working with listed historical buildings and also in the creation of imaginative play area spaces.

Mark has a passion for detail and is skilled in the delivery of robust, practical construction detailing.

Over twenty years of experience as a landscape architect working predominantly in the private sector for large scale commercial developers. Projects include distribution and business parks, residential, health, retail, manufacturing, hotels, country parks, play areas, holiday parks, and company headquarters. A wide-range of skills allows a versatile approach covering all stages of work including LVIA, concept design, landscape strategies, planning applications, public consultation, detailed hard and soft design, budgeting, specification, procurement, site supervision and maintenance.
