Dickens Heath, Garden Courts
BCA have been involved in the development of the Village Centre at Dickens Heath from its original conception through to completion. Five different architects were employed to design a total of 28 buildings and our challenge was, through the external works design to unify the development and give a clear identity to the public realm through the use of imaginative hard and soft landscape solutions.
The design which was to echo the traditional features of village development was conceived in three distinct, linked zones.
The third phase Garden Courts is the central and final phase of the Village Centre development and consists of apartments and townhouse residential properties, surrounding two courtyard garden areas, constructed over undercroft car parking.
