Warth Park

Warth Park is located adjacent to an existing established industrial and warehouse location immediately south of the A45 between Wellingborough and Thrapston. The development comprises of zones accommodating a variety of uses including food, retail, offices and distribution and in total the site occupies and area of land approximately 130 acres.

BCA were appointed in 2012 to develop reserved matters planning drawings for a phased development, based upon an outline landscape scheme.

The landscape design incorporates boulevard tree planting along highway and access roads servicing the plots within, with ornamental planting and clipped hedges to provide vertical spatial definition between the public and private spaces.

The development includes an extensive linear country park which runs between the A45 trunk road and development plots and hosts a series of ponds, swales and attenuation basins through which sinuous pedestrian paths link with Meadow Lane bridleway and the wider footpath and public open space network of Stanwick Lakes to the west of the site and Raunds Town Centre to the East, BCA in conjunction with Whiting Landscape Ltd. were subsequently appointed in 2016 to develop a second phase to Warth Park, located immediately south of Meadow Lane of approximately 82 acres. This phase hosts further two logistics units and further extends the country park and footpath network and includes a ‘green bridge’ and structural green retaining Wall’.

Landscape works to this phase were completed in 2020 and along with the first phase country park north of Meadow Lane, provides a popular recreational facility to the community of Raunds, for dog walkers, walkers and cyclists as well as being a valuable ecology habitat for wildlife that inhabit the site.
